V-IE Enterprise — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the V-IE Enterprise mobile application (the "App"), published by The Aquila Group, Inc., handles information when you use it on your iPhone.

1. Summary

We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data about you. The App communicates only with the on-premise V-IE Enterprise server that you (or your organization's administrator) configure on first launch. All data the App displays — dashboards, alarms, alert rules, tag values, bug reports — is read from and written to your own server. Nothing is transmitted to The Aquila Group or any third party.

2. Data the App accesses on your device

• Server URL, username, and authentication token — stored locally on your device (in iOS Keychain and UserDefaults) so you don't have to sign in every launch. Never transmitted off-device except to the server you configured.
• Push notification token (APNs token) — registered with Apple Push Notification service when you grant push permission, and forwarded to your V-IE server so it can send you alarm notifications. Not shared with anyone else.
• UI preferences — tab selection, theme, and the personal tag-watchlist you configure in the Tag Inspector. Stored locally only.

3. Data we do NOT collect

• No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporters, no ad SDKs, no third-party tracking libraries are linked into the App.
• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information.
• We do not have a server of our own that the App talks to. There is nothing for us to collect.

4. Information held by your V-IE server

Your V-IE Enterprise server (run by your employer or by you) stores operational data — user accounts, dashboards, alarm history, sensor tag values, and the bug reports you submit through the App. That data is governed by your organization's own privacy practices, not this policy. Direct any data-access or data-deletion requests to your V-IE administrator.

5. Bug reports

When you submit a bug report from inside the App, the report is sent to your V-IE server and includes:

• The title and description you typed
• The device model and iOS version (e.g. "iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 17.4")
• The App version (e.g. "0.1.0 (3)")
• A short tail of recent server log output, attached server-side

This information is used only to triage and fix the bug. It stays on your V-IE server and is not transmitted to The Aquila Group.

6. Children

The App is a business / industrial-monitoring tool intended for adult operators, engineers, and administrators in industrial settings. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Security

All communication between the App and your V-IE server is over HTTPS / TLS. Authentication uses bearer tokens stored in the iOS Keychain.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
